it went something like this: last week we (me, yan fun and puu, the usual suspects) went for purnima's cousin's engagement dinner thingy, i think it was on a saturday? yeah but anyways, it was boring, and there weren't any cute guys or even very many young people so we were mostly bored outta our brains. the house was huge though, it was obvious they had pots of money. the food was good too. well after that we felt like partying so we made our way to crown casino, dragging soheb out of the comfort of his home to be our photographer (we're so nice aren't we?) and to see the fiery pillars along the river (they go off every hour after nine o'clock). so we did what we always do when waiting and bored: we started cam-whoring.

and this is a brilliant shot of the pillar of fire, caught nicely by soheb (who by the way spent most of the time cursing the irregular timing of the flaming)
after that, we wanted to go into one of the bars in crown, but guess what? none of us had any identification, so of course we were refused entry. we don't really look very mature do we? sad sad sad. so we sat outside kfc drinking boost juice. hahaha we're damn pathetic.
anyways, sad party life (or non-life if you like) aside, i've just had my first experience with proper studio photography (with me as the model, shockingly). soheb had a lighting assignment to do, and so he enlisted me to give him a hand. plus i'd just got this amazing dress from vicious venus. heh many people would be surprised looking at this dress, cos it's not really my style, it being pretty 1950s, with a full circle skirt and lace trim, and (most surprisingly) ivory-coloured with pink and black cats all over it (it's called 'kitty ginger', and it looks more like may's kind of dress). to be honest i wasn't all that fired up about it when i first saw it, but once i put it on...well, the rest is history. i'm dying to find an occasion to wear it to, i feel really girly in it lol! and i don't feel girly very often. it's so pretty...
*ahem* back to the point, i've finally gotten the pics from soheb, and so here are some of my faves. the small thumbnails don't do them justice, assuming anyone wants to look at me being narcissistic and everything. and for once i don't hate the camera.

okayy i didn't know the dress was THAT low...
the lighting in this shot was actually pretty similar to that of the first pic, but i mucked around with it in photoshop and found i liked this softer effect better. the dark lighting made me look like a villainess plotting someone's death ahahahah...
after looking at these photos, puu now wants us to do a shoot together! heh looks like since we don't have an occasion to dress up for, we'll just be using our dresses in the studio ahaha!
okay okay i've indulged enough, time for me to get back to blake. bleah. why can't this mr damon write like a normal person?! all this long-winded babbling. gah.
