for those who haven't guessed, that's x japan's pata, right up there. his second solo album (can't find his first). i'm praying somebody on tonberry has it, lol! pata's often overlooked cos of yoshiki and hide, but man, he is good.. (random factoid: he's listed on heavyharmonies.com, where there is no sign of x japan even)

ok. my fangirl brain fart has been released. everyone can come out of hiding now.
i think i'm becoming rather like my dad, in the sense that i'm slowly becoming a bit of a music nut. so far, during this last month here (since discovering a certain music store), i have acquired several cds:
- eMOTIVe - a perfect circle $10
- awake - dream theater $10
- images and words - dream theater $10
- train of thought - dream theater $25.60
- strange magic (best hits compilation) - electric light orchestra $15
- sticky fingers - the rolling stones $10
- elephant - the white stripes $10
*nearly dies at the realisation of the amount of money that has been spent on music*
apart from that, i've still been frequenting tonberry for my more unusual tastes, as well as scavenging from other sites.
surprisingly, the rolling stones album was the most disappointing of all. the white stripes and a perfect circle were pleasant surprises (my first time listening to either), and dream theater was freakin' awesome. furthermore, i've got some opeth, pretty damn good. throw that together with the new jrock stuff (ye gods, i haven't even started on deadman, aliene ma'riage and due le quartz properly yet), and you can imagine what sort of abuse i have been putting my eardrums through lately.
